Bio:

Hi, I'm Charla!
​
​I'm a published illustrator, surface designer, and illustration professor with 14 years of industry experience designing for print and pattern. I graduated magna cum laude from the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I studied Illustration and earned a B.F.A. and an M.A. in Visual Communication. I love creating illustrations that bring joy to others.

I have created artwork for magazines, product packaging, floor coverings, fabric, gift wrap, and greeting cards, as well as children's activities and books. I also have experience in art direction and project management. Repeat patterns are my passion!

When I'm not drawing, I enjoy a good cup of coffee, hanging out with my two cats, making jewelry from polymer clay and found objects, traveling to new destinations, ​and stargazing in my Savannah backyard.
