My name is Jackie Heiss, and I am a self-taught artist and illustrator.
For a disabled person, it is often difficult to relax. So I was looking for a method that made this possible for me. I luckily figured out that painting was just the thing. After a few hours of painting, I felt relaxed and contented. Plus I've realised that I had an individual Talent. My search has led me to my profession.
I work in ink, watercolour, gouache, pencils, acrylic paints and monoprints. In the last few years, I had the pleasure to work with children as a teacher during the summer holidays. For some time now, I have been working on home design. Why? I love art, which is fun, design that is not off the shelf. The Internet offers us many opportunities today, and my greatest pleasure is to bring colour into other people's lives with my work.
