Bio:

Liz grew up in England and has a long career illustrating children’s books, maps and magazines. She started drawing as a child around the same time as getting told off in school for daydreaming. Today she makes her pictures using collage and printmaking as well as paint and pencils. Her publishing commissions for children’s markets have ranged from picture storybooks to young adult narratives, projected ‘speed drawings’ and huge scale illustrated maps.

In 2012 she came to live in Australia. Her cricket–themed storybook, Howzat (Mike LeFroy) sees a new cityscape in paint, print and collage on every spread. Her latest picture books are Walker Books Nature Story Series Desert Lake (Pamela Freeman) and One Photo (Ross Watkins).
