Bio:

Hi! I’m Timothy Banks, an illustrator based in Charleston, SC. I create playful, character-driven artwork filled with imagination, humor, and unexpected details. My work often features odd creatures, whimsical worlds, and stories that lean a little offbeat—in the best way.

I’ve illustrated dozens of children’s books and covers for publishers like Holiday House (The Deadly Daylight), Egmont, Faber & Faber, Capstone, and Scholastic. I love working on projects that let me build rich visual worlds and tell stories through color, texture, and expression.

Right now, I’m developing The Trapdoor Apprentice, an author-illustrated picture book full of adventure, mischief, and a few secret doors.
