Between Concord and Walnut Creek, CA, sits Lime Ridge Open Space for walkers, hikers, and mountain bikers to enjoy. It's wild land so we see coyote and snakes. A herd of cattle work 24/7 to keep the grass short to mitigate fires. We hike a 3 mile loop (our legs never looked so good). At the summit of this section we get views of Suisun Bay, three cities, a long range of high hills, and Mt. Diablo, one of the highest peaks in the region. Spectacular!
