The pond at Ooms Conservation Area is a great place to spend some quiet time walking, observing nature and sitting down with a sketch book or easel. The area has several walking trails that meander up and down the hilly meadow. At the top is a gazebo and benches for resting and taking in views of mountains and the pond below. In the summer, the meadow is full of milkweed making it a haven for monarch butterflies. The site is great for observing wildlife such as bluebirds, blue heron, eagles, beaver and turtles.
