We took a legit real vacation this summer to the Surfside hotel at Universal Studios Orlando, and it was the most relaxed I’ve felt in months. So much time to just CHILL. We spent lots of time in the theme parks of course, but also worked in lots of break times at the hotel, and a ton of that time was spent poolside. I read The Secret Life of Bees cover to cover while on vacation, I lived in flip flops, Josh and I got to share slushy drinks by the pool and all it’s beautiful landscaping.

I had a lot of fun playing with scale and unexpected bits in this piece! My color palette is pulled directly from photos I took while on vacation. Just to make sure those colors are accurate, I’m gonna have to go back to that hotel pool… BRB…
