This illustration is inspired by The Bánh Chưng Collective, founded by Chef Diep Tran as a safe and inclusive community space for women, people of color and LGBTQIA.

A bánh chưng is a dumpling made out of sticky rice, shallots, mung beans and pork, all wrapped inside a banana-leaf. It definitely takes some practice to make the perfect bánh chưng but it's so worth the effort because it's absolutely delicious (and a lot of fun to assemble). It is traditionally served during Vietnamese Lunar New Year.

LOVE how you've got the string trailing through the illustration. Great drawing of hands too. Happy Lunar New Year!
