Wildflowers of the Northeast
My mood board submission for the Jigsaw Jam! The United States is home to over 32,000 species of flowering plants, over 800 of which are threatened or endangered. Important to pollinators both as food and as host plants for caterpillars and larvae, all play a role in a diverse and healthy ecosystem. To show more species and highlight unique regional plants, this series will include separate illustrations for the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, and Western regions.
