I’ve always remembered the first time I tasted gelato. It was in the early 1980’s while I was a student living abroad in Florence, Italy. It’s vibrant color, flavor and texture was not of this world! This Italian treat tasted like pure, bright silken fruit, and nothing more. It made my cheeks pucker!
