Also named Empanada or Tlacoyo; was sold in Greater Tenochtitlán was one of the first Mexican snacks. It can be said that Tlacoyos are pre-Hispanic empanadas, they are commonly made of blue corn and are filled with broad beans, beans or peas. The mix added other ingredients on top, such as nopalitos, cottage cheese and sauce, among others. They are simply exquisite, and one of those gastronomic dishes that every Mexican or foreigner should try.
