Sometimes, out of the blue, I begin thinking about some of the foods my grandmother cooked when I was a child- what I would call her specialties. I salivate upon memories of the smells taking over the house, and the flavours and textures I can recall from my childhood.
Thus,I wanted to compile all of the recipes I can remember my grandma prepared, bless her, as a tribute to her and her ingenious approach to simplicity in cooking, as well as an inspiration for others to come up with some delicious comfort food, easily made.
