This recipe was given to me about 20 years ago in a church basement by a little old man.
I was attending a 12 step celebration for a family member and he had baked the cake. It was fantastic! I asked him for the recipe and he scrawled it down onto a napkin for me.
I never saw that little cake baking man again, but this has been my go to cake recipe ever since!
