The top border on my map, with the long "He. .. e. . .y" refers to the extended note that is sung at the beginning of many Gujarati folksongs (similar to yodeling.) The lower border consists of mini-versions of "rangoli" -- a design made of colored sand that is drawn on the ground before the front door of the home by Gujarati women, to welcome guests.
