Leiden is a beautiful, historic and walkable city in the Netherlands near Amsterdam. With lots of water you can rent your own electric boat, row one or take a tour. In Summer there's the 'Leidse Lakenfeesten' with wonderful events on the water, there's the 'Jazzweek' and '3 oktober': the city keeps celebrating. It's smaller than Amsterdam, which makes it feel more cosy to walk through and enjoy the beautiful and fun sites. Leiden is 'gewoon gezellig!' When in Holland, you must visit!
