This Map/illustration highlights the cultural art & crafts, from Kutch (the village) to Bhuj (the city). Kutch is a spot of colour in the vast dessert. The scattered mud houses (Bhunga) is a treasure trove inside, with its shimmering mud & mirror art, hand crafted colourful rugs & the hospitable inhabitants. The funky mud walls, colourful kite/fabric ceiling at Shaam-e-Sarhad resort & the moon rise at the white salt dessert are not to be missed. The old palace ruins in Bhuj is an architectural treat. Lastly the Hunnarshala (NGO- involved low cost housing techniques after the earth quake) with its beautiful braided thatched roof and mud houses are an inspiration.
