Green Chili Stew

Every September where I'm from (Denver, CO) we would find one of the chili vendors on a street corner and order a bushel of #fire #roasted #green #chilis I'm not sure, but I think they were #poblanos we would take our haul in a garbage bag. After they cooled, we would peel off the blackened skins and divide them up in plastic bags for the freezer so we could make #greenchilistew all winter. To this day, I miss this annual tradition. You can use canned Hatch green chili in place of fresh Poblanos, but fire-roasted peppers are the best!
